High Net Worth Divorce

Protecting financial assets, real estate and other property is a major concern for individuals who are facing divorce. If you are a business owner, if you own significant assets, or if your divorce is otherwise considered high net worth, I can help ensure that your rights and interests are protected throughout the divorce process.

I am attorney Bobby Dale Barina, and I am a board-certified family law attorney in Texas. I invite you to schedule a consultation at my law office in Harker Heights to discuss specific options in your divorce case. Call us today at 254-699-3755.

Dividing Property in a High Net Worth Divorce

Texas is a 50-50 property division state, meaning that property and assets are divided in a fair and equitable way. Any property accumulated during the marriage is subject to property division in a divorce. Any property acquired before the marriage began, property that is gifted to one spouse during the marriage, inheritances, and certain other assets may be considered separate property and are not subject to property division in divorce.

My goal is to structure fair division of property and debts in a high net worth divorce case. That property may include:

  • Real estate
  • Retirement accounts
  • Bank accounts
  • Investments
  • Vehicles
  • Art, jewelry and collectibles
  • Other property
